Ingredients
2 sticks butter from a local
DFA farmer-owner brand
2 10-ounce bags mini marshmallows
1-2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
½ teaspoon salt
9 cups Rice Krispies® cereal
Method
Start by browning the butter in a pan. (We recommend using your favorite local DFA farmer-owned brand).
Then, toss in mini marshmallows and a giant scoop of creamy peanut butter.
Add vanilla extract and salt; stir over low heat until melted and smooth.
Add Rice Krispies cereal to a large bowl. Once smooth, pour the mixture over the Rice Krispies cereal. Mix until all the krispies are coated.
Now is a good time to add a handful of extra mini marshmallows!
Nerd Herd hack: Use the butter wrapper to grease a pan and then line with parchment paper.
Transfer the marshmallow krispies to a pan and use your hands to gently level the top.
Let the mixture rest in the pan for 30 minutes and then slice and enjoy!
